Fusing unwavering passion with endless innovation and long-standing tradition, Officine Gullo brings a new class of professional kitchens to the home. As an internationally-minded company that remains true to its family-run essence, Officine Gullo works with clients in all over the world to make their kitchen dreams come true.
In Sweden, Officine Gullo partners with Mygind Design to create bespoke kitchens for their Scandinavian clients. Together, the duo have brought two breathtaking projects to life, both of which stemmed from a collaboration with interior design company Himlekök. The two projects are titled Blue Black and Burnished Brass and Ultramarine Blue and Burnished Brass.
Complemented by refined Scandinavian design characteristics, the distinctive Officine Gullo products harmonize perfectly in these modern kitchen spaces, creating a sublime pairing of bygone charm and contemporary elegance while bringing restaurant-grade cooking capabilities to the forefront.
Blue Black and Burnished Brass
Within an elegant private residence in Askim, Sweden, the majestic Blue Black and Burnished Brass kitchen project by Officine Gullo radiates with sophistication and charm. This beautiful tailor-made kitchen features a modern and refined design, and is the product of a scrupulous artisanal partnership between Officine Gullo and the skillful Scandinavian companies Mygind Design and Himlekök.
The kitchen space consists of a cooking block, workspace with wash area and a graceful rounded island. The burnished brass of the finishes, cooktop and washbasin by Officine Gullo stand out against the solid wooden structure produced in Himlekök’s joinery workshop and painted in Blue Black.
The cooking block is comprised of a professional cooktop with 4 burners and a coup de feu. A multifunction oven and microwave with food warmer are located on one side of the island. All the cooking elements, made exclusively in noble metals, are capable of professional performance, yet are manufactured according to the principles of household ergonomics to enable comfortable daily at-home use with the utmost convenience.
The unique semi built-in washbasin with double sink and burnished brass front rod was produced using a skillful technique. Officine Gullo washbasins are manufactured solely from high-thickness sheets and the welding is accomplished by hand, so too is the burnishing, which lends texture to the brass that acquires characterful light and shade day after day.
The faucet – a striking double brass mixer with arch spouts, central control lever and conical handles – is the focal point of the wash zone. This exquisite object originates from the centuries-old tradition of refined craftsmanship, matching fine materials with a quest for new achievements in exclusive design and modern luxury.
Each aspect of this project was carefully personalized to meet the client’s wishes, as is the case for all Officine Gullo creations. Every project can be fully tailor made, from the dimensions to the composition of the cooktop, engraving on the handles and the kitchen’s colours. Every detail is a result of research and craftsmanship, and the cooking equipment is the same found in top restaurant kitchens.
Ultramarine Blue and Burnished Brass
In the luxurious and elegant Pigalle boutique hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden, Officine Gullo has installed a cooking range from its Restart collection. The range, which is based on research into the design and furnishings of old Florentine villas, fits perfectly with Himlekok’s eclectic yet polished design.
Like the Restart cooking range, the kitchen fixtures derive from first-rate craftsmanship. The cooktop and island are entirely handcrafted in oak and painted in rich Ultramarine Blue (RAL 5002). Burnished brass give the details a stylish finish, while the Guatemala Green Indian marble used for the surfaces round the space off with an understated opulence.
The Restart 90cm cooking range fits perfectly into the workspace and is painted in Ultramarine Blue with burnished brass finishes to match the remainder of the kitchen. The range consists of a multifunction electric oven with a grill and cooling fan, electric spit roast, thermostat and analogue LCD programmer. The retro-style brass door enriches the adjacent space with classic and warm tones. The cooktop has 5 high-performance burners with safety valves and cast iron grills. A dome-shaped hood crafted entirely in steel stands above the counter. The dome echoes the colours of the cooking range, painted in Ultramarine Blue with an elegant burnished brass trim.
The cooking ranges in the Restart collection are designed to fit into any kitchen space and to create a unique ambience. The hoods, panels and shelves, stoves and refrigeration can all be selected to the customers’ desired preference. Every Officine Gullo creation is an element of exclusive design, crafted to meet the needs of the client, who can personalize the colours and finishes.
