Charlie’s, Brown’s Hotel’s restaurant led by Chef Adam Byatt, will set the scene for three evenings this festive season (28 November, 5 December, 19 December) for guests to watch the iconic story unfold whilst savouring a three-course festive feast. Produced in collaboration with Black Rabbit Projects, award-winning actors, magicians, and ballet dancers will narrate the story of Clara and the Nutcracker, brought to life in the cosy surroundings of the restaurant.
On each date, there will be two sittings, an early evening one (5.30 pm – 7.30 pm) and a later sitting (8.30 pm – 10.30 pm).
The storytelling will commence from the moment guests step through Charlie’s door on Albemarle Street, Mayfair. Arriving to the sound of Tchaikovsky’s famous music and surrounded by elegant Christmas decorations, guests will be transported to Edwardian London as they are greeted and escorted to their table by loved characters from the ballet.
Once seated, each diner will receive a secret dossier of clues explaining a mysterious disappearance and be urged to help the characters uncover the missing item’s whereabouts. Through the course of the evening, The Nutcracker narrative will be revealed through a series of classic performances such as the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy pas de deux and other reimagined moments from the show.
Between interactions, the three-course set menu of winter-warming dishes will be served, featuring a starter of glazed beetroot and goats curd; Sutton Hoo chicken and onion squash served on chestnuts; and a gingerbread crème brûlée for dessert. With each course, a series of clues will be revealed within the table decorations and dishes, guiding guests on their festive journey and promising an evening of wonder and surprise.

Charlie’s at Brown’s Hotel offers The Nutcracker Experience for £98 including a three-course dinner + a welcome drink upon arrival (excluding any additional beverages consumed on the night) for adults, free for children aged 0 – 3 years, and £49.00 for children aged 4 – 12 years.
