A couple of years ago, Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, and Cesc Fàbregas ditched their flashy motorcycles for electric bikes. However, these were no ordinary e-bikes. A couple of years ago, Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, and Cesc Fàbregas ditched their flashy motorcycles for electric bikes. However, these were no ordinary e-bikes. These e-bikes, if you can even call them that, were a brand of their own – a hybrid between a motorbike and an e-bike. They had pedals, but they also had a throttle.

This e-bike was the Greyp G12S, a ridiculously fun, extremely powerful, insanely fast, and not a street-legal electric bike. Back then, Greyp Bikes were the sister company of Rimac Automobili, the producers of the world’s most powerful electric hypercar, and the connection with the auto industry was obvious in the products they made.

The G12S model first caught the public eye when the international football gods were seen riding them on their way to practice, which made quite a stir in the media. This, in return, resulted in an increased demand for the bikes, but they were still a fairly niche product.

So, the creative folks at Greyp Bikes decided it would be worthwhile to produce a more mainstream and professional e-bike, one that would reimagine the bike-riding experience. They evolved as a brand and created the world’s first fully connected e-bike with amazing performance and a unique blend of AI, data gathering, and augmented reality. That is how the Greyp G6 range came to be — a smart full-suspension e-mountain bike with a carbon fibre frame and powerful motors as well as tech to run them.

What set them apart from other bike companies was the combination of micro-mobility with connectivity. The bike is built around the electronics, starting with an integrated eSIM that enables internet connectivity through a built-in communication module with numerous sensors and front and rear integrated HD cameras. The powerful 700Wh battery, positioned deliberately visible in the middle of the frame, enables a longer ride experience. The connectivity enables riders to send orders to their bikes, even when the rider and the bike are not in the same location, or to remotely acquire photos from the two integrated cameras.

The cameras are also always recording, so riders are even able to “go back in time “with the latest Retro Video feature. Additionally, over 50 telemetry data are collected every second of the ride, like the rider’s power output, bike inclination, G-force, barometric pressure, or the e-bike’s motor output.

After a successful launch of the Greyp G6 range, the fleet was expanded to include the hardtail G5 and the limited edition Greyp G6.X. The Greyp G6.X is a limited-edition bicycle that was made to honour Greyp Bikes’ automotive heritage and connection to Rimac Automobili, and only 100 models will ever be available. The e-bike is assembled from the finest bicycle components such as an Öhlins fork & Öhlins rear shock, Magura wireless brakes, wireless seat post & shifter, and a set of Xentis full carbon wheels. Additionally, the Greyp G6.X comes with the advanced features already known from other Greyp models: a durable 700Wh battery, a  powerful 460W motor, the Central Intelligence Module (CIM) and the full Greyp Ride experience.

If you are looking for a completely new feel of a bike ride, the Greyp G6.X might be a perfect choice.
