The “Passionate Chef” began his professional career after training as a chef (Schwanen hotel in Waldshut) in Freiburg Colombi Hotel. Then he made his way through different restaurants until he was able to expand his skills by the known three star chef Harald Wohlfahrt, of the Hotel Traube Tonbach Baiersbronn. Scharrer, as head chef of the restaurant, was operating in manor Faistenberg in Beuerberg and cooked up his first star there in 2000 and 2001.
Enjoy light and contemporaneous “cuisine classique” that reaches excellence and tasty opulence at gourmet restaurant Buddenbrooks. Michelin starred chef Christian Scharrer creates a harmonic symbiosis between finest aromas and premium ingredients. His philosophy is an interpretation of “back to the roots” that captivates gourmets through straight compositions – an art of cooking that spices modesty with esprit and exceptional ideas.
In cooperation with his team, he always finds new challenges that he knows how to make with creative passion. For his enjoyable creations the Michelin Guide awarded him with the second star and 17 Gault Millau points in November 2011.
The Buddenbrooks restaurant presents itself in the listed “Lübeckzimmer” of the Grand SPA Resort A-ROSA Travemünde with 28 seats and a welcoming reception lounge to relax.
