Kent-born chef, Daniel Clifford spent the first 12 years of his career and training in some of the best restaurants in the UK and France (including stints with Marco Pierre White and Jean Bardet in Tours), and took over at Midsummer House in Cambridge in August1998.
His cooking has a modern focus, which is underpinned by classical French technique, emphasising seasonal combinations.
Midsummer House has had a plethora of accolades and awards, including two Michelin stars having been awarded its first Michelin star in 2002, followed by the second in 2005.
Daniel competed on Great British Menuin 2012 andwon the main course, which was served at the Olympic banquetand in 2013 he won the dessert course, which was served at the Comic Relief banquet.
