Tim Raue was born in Berlin in 1974. After his training as a chef, he gained experience at several restaurants in Berlin. In 2003, he became executive chef and global culinary advisor at Swissotel Berlin, where he was chef de cuisine of restaurant 44 and was recognized with his first Michelin star and 18 points in Gault&Millau in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, Tim Raue was Culinary Director of Adlon Holding GmbH where he was awarded with one Michelin star and 18 points in Gault Millau for restaurant MA Tim Raue. In July 2010, Tim Raue opened his very first own restaurant together with his business partner Marie-Anne. Only two months after the opening of restaurant Tim Raue, he was awarded with one Michelin star. In November 2011 he received 19 points in Gault&Millau. In November 2012, the restaurant was awarded with two Michelin stars. In addition, Restaurant Tim Raue appeared on the list of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants” for the first time. It now takes 34th place and is the best German restaurant on the list. In April and May 2013, restaurants Sra Bua by Tim Raue at legendary Kempinski Hotel Adlon as well as La Soupe Populaire timraue at Bötzow Berlin opened (currently underconstruction), two projects which have been created by Tim Raue as a culinary consultant. Brasserie Colette Tim Raue in Munich, Berlin and Constanze, are additional restaurant concepts which bear the name Tim Raue and have been created by the famous chef. In July 2016, the Asian concept HANAMI by Tim Raue has been launched at the cruise ship TUI Mein Schiff 5 and in November 2016, restaurant DRAGONFLY by Tim Raue will open ist doors in Dubai. More projects around the globe are about to follow.
