Bite-sized Questions

What has been your most memorable dining experience?

My husband John’s breathtakingly delicious Linguine with Lobster Medallions and vanilla bean beurre blanc. He made it for me on our anniversary and served it with Krug Grande Cuvee Champagne. It’s become an anniversary tradition.

Is there anything you wouldnevertry?

Asparagus with world class Burgundy, because their flavor profiles crash and each is so great on its own that it would just be wrong.

What’s your favourite comfort food? Our air popper gets a workout nearly every night.

Truffled popcorn

If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Kale salad, seared and hot-smoked Arctic char, lentils cooked in my smoked duck stock, and Pinot Noir or bottle-aged Riesling.

After a long week, what’s your tipple of choice?

French Champagne or American sparkling wine such as Schramsberg, Domaine Carneros or Chandon Etoile.

What are the three finer things in life that you secretly indulge in?

Single origin dark chocolate, Nespresso coffee, extravagantly expensive artisan cheese

Terroir-ista, Michael Pollan-ista, fermentation freak
