Originally built in the 1920s as a residence for the king’s advisor, the building has been completely refurbished and expanded to deliver a breathtaking oasis complete with 133 rooms, suites and penthouses, including one Signature Suite, two Penthouses, and one Katara Suite.
Surrounded by 3.5 acres of lush, private gardens, the hotel mirrors the captivating spirit of the Moroccan Riviera. Envisioned by OBMI & CCCRA Architects, the property blends its historic, original 1920s features with contemporary touches. Art was also integral to the design, and as such, artwork by local Moroccan artisans is on display throughout. Furthermore, each guestroom showcases elements of traditional Moroccan decor alongside finely crafted textiles, all brought together in a synchronous and vibrant aesthetic.
On the exterior, the expansive grounds are home to unique landscaping which fuses Arab and Andalusian cultures: the native, centenary eucalyptus trees have been preserved and now live alongside thriving palm, olive, citrus, and pomegranate groves.
