What initially began as a small blacksmith workshop in the nineteenth century has since transformed into a full-scale business that specialises in producing custom-made steel kitchens. Even with the growth of DeManincor over the years, some things have remained constant in creating its top-quality ranges: the family-run ethos and the dedication to using artisanal skills.
Because everything that DeManicor produces is made by hand, the company can design kitchens that meet the user’s exact needs. And it’s their fifty years of experience that makes them able to fulfil even the most demanding requirements. No detail is too small, and no request is too big.
“Every kitchen is different,” says Mattia de Manincor, Sales and Marketing Director of DeManincor, and the fifth generation of the de Manincor family now involved in the business. “The key is understanding the customer’s real need. Some are looking for a particular kind of finish, others for high-performance equipment. In terms of design, I think that a good term to define DeManincor is consistency. It’s not just the beautiful appearance; it is the exceptional functionality of every single element of the kitchen developed according to our extensive know-how.”
There are numerous examples of this time-honoured knowledge on display in the DeManincor kitchens, each one carefully devised to ensure the ultimate ease of use. These include the beautiful decorative door trims that are not only present on the façade but are fully incorporated into the door so that they extend along the sides. The LED lights inside and under the wall cupboards are a genius addition, as are the specially crafted hinges that keep the heavy doors perfectly in place. DeManincor has even thought about decluttering the control panel by strategically hiding certain knobs from view. And last but certainly not least, unique solutions have been integrated into the compartments for effortless cleaning and maintenance.
Over and above these scrupulously conceived design elements, two factors give DeManincor’s kitchens the upper hand. First and foremost, DeManincor is a manufacturer and, as such, develops and handcrafts each piece in-house — there is zero use of traded cooking equipment. This also makes maintenance much easier, as the same people who crafted the ranges are the ones who care for them after sales.
Secondly, DeManincor is a kitchen designer through and through. There are no cookie-cutter solutions here; using over seventy years of experience in the restaurant and residential industry to guide the process, each kitchen is carefully conceived according to the customer’s specifications. Working together as partners, DeManincor offers expert advice and involves the client in each step of the process. Everything is made with passion, and every customer is special — they are not just another number on the production line.
“DeManincor complete kitchens are literally designed on the customer’s needs. As we do not have modular units, we offer 100 percent bespoke solutions realised on the available space and according to the necessary equipment,” adds Mattia. “Specially shaped solutions, worktops, upfronts, heights and depths can be produced, and the equipment can be uniquely positioned as required. We also custom-make special technical cabinets, hoods or air extraction systems to suit our customers’ needs.”
DeManincor’s kitchens are produced using steel, with various types and thicknesses employed for specific products based on their functions. To guarantee longlasting colour and negate scratches, the cooking ranges are coated in ceramic enamels, which also have a superior aesthetic effect. To complete the look, a range of finishes, from stainless steel to brass, burnished brass and copper, are available.
The company is also constantly innovating new products — a necessity in this demanding industry. Many hours of research, design and development go into each state-of-the-art solution, ensuring that it meets professional standards, regardless of whether its final destination is a home or restaurant. The result is that the owners are proud of their kitchens, taking pleasure in the fact that they flawlessly fuse form and function.
Owing to their excellence, some of DeManincor’s kitchens hold pride of place in notable addresses around the world, one of which is The Dorchester hotel in London. This tailor-made installation, which is remote-controlled with a built-in supervision system, meets the needs of various kitchens, including gourmet cuisine, room service, breakfast, the pastry and bakery area, a pizza section and an expansive walk-in wine room.
What’s particularly special for the company is that with their global reach, they can share their Italian heritage with people far and wide. Cooking is deeply ingrained in Italian culture, and this love for all things food is put forward in every bespoke DeManincor kitchen. Conceived with an open-minded approach, family values are blended with unmatched skill, adaptability and complex solutions to create kitchen masterpieces that bear the DeManicor mark of distinction.
