An ideal place for a restaurant of this calibre, the newest addition to Hotel Café Royal’s culinary offerings will be hosted in an elegant and intimate dining space with views of the iconic curve of Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus. Details such as hand-painted silk panelling will surround the room, and cosy booths will be interspersed between two tops, all made bespoke for the new restaurant in England.
“Oscar Wilde chose the Café Royal – and its unmatched wine selection – for his salon, while Winston Churchill favoured our steaks, stilton and champagne. Even those who differed on most things, came together here to enjoy an atmosphere and range of gourmet pleasures found nowhere else, and it is clear our latest venture with Alex Dilling looks set to continue this illustrious tradition. Alex joins Albert Adria as another world-class chef we are proud to be able to showcase to Londoners and international travellers alike,” says Guillaume Marly, Managing Director of Hotel Café Royal.
With just 34 seats, the restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner menus that spotlight contemporary French cuisine accentuated by a young and energetic sense of hospitality. Menus will start at £65 for a three-course lunch., while the six-course dinner menu, with an amuse bouche and petit fours, will be priced at £155. A chef’s special menu, also of six courses and additions, will showcase the season’s most elevated ingredients and be on offer in the evening for £195.
Example dishes will include:
-
“Boullibase” – marinated red mulled with cockles & oyster cream
-
“Oeuf Dore” – smoked sturgeon, potato & aged Kaluga caviar
-
Araguani chocolate, smoked Piedmont hazelnut & Tahitian vanilla
