The 2019 edition of The St Regis New York’s festive pop-up will be Jack’s Champagne Club, a hidden lobby-level champagne bar offering exclusive champagne tastings, canapés and more. The hotel’s Cognac Room, located just off the beloved lobby, will debut reimagined interiors from CHAMPALIMAUD Design and, for the holiday season only, be transformed into an intimate lounge for Jack’s Champagne Club.
Celebrating the brand’s gilded age heritage and modern glamour, Jack’s Champagne Club pays homage to the St. Regis Founder John “Jack” Jacob Astor IV. Jack’s Champagne Club is a new reinterpretation of the brand’s legacy of entertaining and the Astor family’s history of hosting the most sought-after social gatherings.
The pop-up will open on November 29th, inviting guests to escape the cold weather and step into a festive champagne cave. The warm and welcoming space will be adorned in glistening hues of silver and gold and boast a stunning tree inspired by champagne bubbles. Tables feature a “press for champagne” button to encourage guests to relax and imbibe with family and friends in front of the room’s historic fireplace, while hosts pour champagne from a custom champagne gueridon.
Underscoring the hotel’s commitment to bespoke luxury experiences, those who visit Jack’s Champagne Club will gain access to exclusive tastings of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame, Dom Perignon, Krug, Moet MCIII and other vintages, alongside tastefully paired canapés and small bites from the hotel’s signature restaurant, Astor Court. The menu will rotate to reflect a tasting profile tailored to the weekly champagne house with highlights including caviar, roasted beet and mascarpone crostini; beef tartare with quail egg, smoked chicken brie and grape phyllo, amongst a whole lot more.
Hotel guests may visit Jack’s Champagne Club on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, hotel guests may reserve one of the exclusive experiences through Tock, starting from $650. Non-hotel guests must make a reservation through Tock, starting from $650 for two guests, plus taxes and service fees.
The St. Regis New York will also partner with Puiforcat, the exceptional French luxury silversmith, to offer a premium champagne package featuring the house’s Timbales à Champagne, champagne silver tumblers. Designed to extol the aromas of the liquid and to heighten the tasting experience, the Puiforcat sterling silver Champagne Tumbler will serve as the ideal vessel for a specialty tasting. Following the experience, guests will be able to take the tumbler home to enjoy. A nod to the hotel’s founding in 1904, the limited package costs $1,904 for two guests (plus taxes and service fees) and is bookable through Tock.
