Raise funds for charity and devour Michelin-starred dishes at the same time thanks to this special upcoming evening in Liverpool.
Titled ‘Take 6 Colleges,’ on Friday 21st June, a team of seven critically-acclaimed and Michelin-starred chefs will generously volunteer their time to showcase a world-class five-course menu as part of a fundraising dinner.
The edible action will be taking place in aid of Adopt a School, a national charity which promotes primary food education by sending chefs and hospitality professionals to local schools to help educate children.
An unmissable night of gourmet enchantment, the talented line-up will feature top chefs chefs Chris Marshall (Liverpool F.C), Hrishikesh Desai (Gilpin Hotel), Gary Jones (Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons), Paul Askew (The Art School Restaurant), Lisa Goodwin-Allen (Northcote), Steve Doherty MCA (chef consultant and former Head Chef of Le Gavroche), and James Holden (Adopt a School Regional Chef).
The team of chefs will cook alongside catering students from six local colleges: Riverside College, L20, Hugh Baird College, Wirral Metropolitan College, St Helen’s College, and City of Liverpool College in order to construct a five-course feast.
Taking place at The Beautiful Game Suite in Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool F.C, the one-off evening will commence with a fizz-filled Laurent-Perrier champagne and canapé reception, and will also feature entertainment, a raffle and an auction filled with exclusive prizes.
Most important, 100% of all profits raised will go directly to Adopt a School, a national charity founded in 1990 by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.
Adopt a School works annually with over 16,000 children in primary schools, hospital schools, and youth clubs. They send chefs and hospitality professionals to local schools to teach pupils about cooking, healthy eating, food provenance, and sustainability – working from the ground up to help improve food awareness.
The important programme operates across the UK, but works extensively within the North West, West Midlands, and London (all areas which experience high levels of deprivation).
