Executive Chef Simone Caponnetto of Locale Firenze is gearing up to host acclaimed chef Andoni Luis Aduriz and the Mugaritz team for an extraordinary evening on Thursday, 7 March 2024. This exclusive event promises to blend the finest Italian ingredients with avant-garde cooking techniques, showcasing the culinary artistry and scientific innovation of two of Europe’s most experiential chefs.
Presented by Conosh, a company dedicated to redefining gastronomy by curating immersive dining experiences and culinary education programmes, and sponsored by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, the evening will unfold with a ten-course menu, five dishes from each team, designed to engage all five senses. This collaboration is set to be a spectacular journey of surprises, textures, visuals, aromas, tactile experiences, and auditory delights.
Simone, who honed his skills in the kitchens of Mugaritz before returning to Italy, attributes his growth as a chef to his time there. At Locale Firenze, he seamlessly integrates the techniques and philosophies acquired at Mugaritz with the finest Tuscan ingredients, resulting in a constantly evolving menu. Excited to host his mentor, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Simone is eager to share this culinary experience with fellow food enthusiasts.
Mugaritz, since its inception in 1998, has been a hub of interdisciplinary experimentation, boasting two Michelin stars since 2005. Recognized as one of the top 10 restaurants globally for 14 consecutive years by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, Mugaritz’s cuisine, characterized by its “no boundaries” approach, aims to expand guests’ minds, not just their palates.
